Exploring meaning in our lives by examining heroic, spiritual giants.
A monthly small group providing participants a forum to examine, reflect on and discuss how icons of wisdom inspire us to live more meaningful and intentional lives.
As challenged by the poet Mary Oliver –
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?
Who:
Hosted by Lloyd Guerin and Warren Beckford.
What:
We gather in fellowship – informal.
Each session focuses on one inspiring individual. For example:
- Francis of Assisi – humble imitator of Christ
- Pierre Tielhard de Chardin – Jesuit priest and scientist
- Dorothy Day – social activist and founder of the Catholic Worker
Hosts will present a brief development of the sage’s life, thoughts and actions.
We explore what each wisdom archetype teaches us.
Sessions do not require your prior preparation – we start at “ground zero.”
When:
Continuing in March going through May (three more sessions) from 6:30 – 8:00 P.M. on the last Tuesday of the month:
- March 26
- April 30
- May 28
